Bio
Konpeito is a grey sloth with permanent eye bags underneath his often closed eyes, a side effect of being burdened by extreme tiredness and fatigue. He is constantly tired and prone to falling asleep at any moment and at any hour. While this wouldn’t be so bad on its own, this becomes an apparent issue whenever he’s in the middle of something; for instance: driving, cutting vegetables, holding a ladder for someone, among others. This usually ends in the untimely demise of the poor Tree Friend who trusted him with a delicate operation or even on his own death, being a recurring theme.
Konpeito the drowsy usually tries to find ways to keep himself awake, ranging from the sensible choice of drinking coffee or energy drinks...all the way to piercing his skin with his claws. These methods usually work for some time...but are never a definite answer as he dozes off into careless slumber once again.
With that being said, what does Konpeito see within his dream world? A parallel to the real world, he finds himself fighting with a shining blade to rescue a sheep princess who goes under the name “Aurora Borealis Princess”! As noble as his objective may seem, his sheer will to achieve it shows itself whenever he sleep walks. As he beheads a tyrannical dragon who’s captured the princess, you’ll find him in the real world holding the severed head of an innocent pedestrian without the magical context...those claws aren’t just for show!
Konpeito is known for always wearing striped pajamas and for moving slowly. He also tends to grunt as he sleeps and normally carries a visage of frustration for he seems unable to beat his dream nemesis whom he refers to as “Zuzuzu”.
Due to his lifestyle, he doesn’t have much interest in cutting his long hair; his solution to this is by adopting a hairstyle that resembles a woman’s such as Twottie’s. Alongside his blond eyelashes, this makes his gender hard to determine as most believe that he is a woman. Konpeito doesn’t seem to mind this, allowing others to refer to him in any way they want. However, being a “beautifully eyed, long-haired girl” makes him a magnet for the likes of Disco Bear, resulting in awkward moments once Konpeito is forced to admit the truth. On the other hand, he takes advantage of those who fall in love with him to receive gifts such as chocolate boxes and perfumes, mainly since they seem to add to the ambience of his sweet dreams.
He likes stars and constellations; he views them as the ideal world for him, as he would love to lay comfortably in the mantle of stars and soundly sleep, never to be bothered. He used to study astrology, a career he had to drop due to his sleeping issues; nonetheless, he thinks of stars as distant dames whom he admires for their beauty.
At the end of the day, he sleeps at any time due to his sleeping problems; in his dreams, he tries to rescue his beloved princess, killing any rivals who get in his way. In the real world, this essentially leads him to murder anybody who strays too close during his dream frenzy. He drinks all sorts of coffee to boost himself with extra energy...it usually doesn’t last for too long.
Although he very rarely smiles on most occasions, an easy work around is to simply and gently tell him “good night”.

He’s normally grumpy and apathetic with others due to his “lack of sleep”, showing little to absolutely no interest in anything that’s going on in real life; however, when he wakes up on his own accord, he shows a more passive and soft side of himself.
As expected from his species, he is notoriously lazy.
Appearance
His fur is grey, featuring markings on his face tinted darker and white stars on his cheeks. He lacks an abdominal marking and features long, dangerous sloth claws. His eyelashes are blond and his pupils showcase a tranquil sea of stars. His nose is colored dull lavender.
He has long, dark gray colored hair.
Normal Outfit
He wears light blue, striped pajamas and a nightcap with an identical color scheme. Underneath the pajamas, he wears a white, buttoned sweater and a dull-lilac skirt. He also wears white socks and violet .
He sports a light blue, scarf-like bolt of cloth, held by a plastic star in the middle.
Relationships
Chamomile: These two very likely understand each other.
Twottie: Konpeito appreciates Twottie for doing his hair.
Popipo: She normally offers him the most potent energy drinks she’s got to see how long he survives; he seems to consider this an gesture of friendship.
Bonky: She normally wakes him up intentionally, leading him to heavily dislike her.
