Law and Odor is a fanon episode of HTF. In this episode, Hound looks for a smelly thief.
It's a smell they don't want to smell but have to.

Plot[]
Hound parks his police car at a farm. A crime scene has recently occured, leaving a terrible scent in the barn and two suspects (Beef and Cud) knocked out cold. Hound helps them regain consciousness by hanging air fresheners on their necks. Beef explains that the crook was unable to be seen because of the stink cloud, but he knows for sure this crook had to be stinky.
Suddenly, Hound catches a scent, but not a good one. He is lead Tromp sitting outside. He undergoes a smell inspection and - seeing that his scent does not match the one from the crime scene - Hound realizes he is not the thief. But Hound's nose couldn't take any more of these rancid scents. Tromp volunteers to take over the scent tracking.
From the barn, Tromp follows the scent all the way to a garbage can. Rotty comes out of it with a fish skeleton in his mouth. Hound handcuffs him to the trash can, but Tromp discovers the smell continues on, thus proving Rotty innocent. The two dogs leave, forgetting to free Rotty. A car knocks into the trash can and sends it and Rotty rolling down a hill, right into a thorn bush.
The scent leads Hound and Tromp to the city. They encounter Fungus in a dumpster and ask him a few questions. Fungus confesses he didn't do the crime but may know who did. But before he could answer, a garbage truck picks up the dumpster and throws Fungus in.
A black feather floats from the air and Tromp realizes it has the scent they were following. Turning around, he and Hound discover Filthy sitting on a telephone wire. Seeing by his sack of stolen goods, they find out he is the true culprit. Filthy laughs as more of his smelly feathers fall on the ground. Unable to take the smell anymore, Hound sprays the area. It splashes on a wire and consequently electrocutes Filthy.
Hound and Tromp later return the stolen items to Beef's farm. As a reward, he gives them a bag of manure. Dealing with yet another terrible odor, the dog duo throws up.

- This is Hound's first starring role after making a debut appearance in Under Lock and Key.
- Fungus' death is similar to Giggles' death in Blast from the Past.
- Rotty's death is similar to Milly's death in Carnage Country.
- The starring and appearing characters survive while the featuring ones die.
