Plot

Howdy a steak on his fire pit, to the discomfort of a cow watching from a nearby barn. Just as he prepares to eat his meal, a large crow steals it from him. Howdy goes back into his kitchen only to see that he is out of steak. He looks at the cow and gets another idea. Slowly, Howdy creeps toward the animal while hiding a cleaver behind his back. The cow sees through the ruse and flees.

Not willing to give up so easily, Howdy pulls out his trusty lasso. He chases the cow on his horse and attempts to catch it the old western style. The cow ducks its head and the rope misses. Nurse is seen pushing Cast in the distance, when the lasso gets caught around the latter's neck. Cast gets pulled away, so Nurse buckles the seatbelt on his wheelchair. But when it gets stuck between two rocks, Howdy rips out Cast's head and spine.

The chase continues and Howdy tries a second time to lasso the cow, this time succeeding. But he is pulled off his horse and gets dragged along the desert. Attempting to stand still, the soles of his boots wear away. Vanilla wanders around taking photos, when Howdy and his rope pass by. She ends up being split in half from the rope.

Howdy's feet get shredded as he is dragged over a bunch of cacti. His vest gets caught on a branch and the cow struggles to run. The branch breaks, sending Howdy and the cow to fly off. Cuddles prepares to eat cereal when he realizes he is out of milk. By sheer coincidence, the cow smashes through the walls and crushes him. Howdy proceeds to finish off the cow, but looking into the poor creature's eyes, he ultimately changes his decision.

Howdy rides the cow back to the farm, where he sees the crow from earlier eating his steak on the fire pit, much to his anger. The crow flaps its wings, spilling a can of cooking oil into the fire pit and setting itself aflame. Later that night, Howdy eats the roasted crow like a chicken meal. The cow curiously takes a nibble for itself and likes the taste.

Trivia

• Vanilla's death is similar to Lifty and Shifty's deaths in And the Kitchen Sink.
• Cast's death is similar to Disco Bear's death in Put Your Back Into It.
• Howdy was originally supposed to die and the cow was going to eat his roasted remains.
