Two Little Lovers is the seventh episode of the third season of Happy Insect Friends. In this episode, Maggie comes along with Beetles and Flappers as a third wheel.

In her tree, Maggie connects a spool of her silk to the end of a leaf, preparing to launch herself onto a bumblebee resting on a flower. She pounces, just missing the bumblebee by an inch. Sighing, she climbs back onto the leaf and prepares to leap again until Beetles and Flappers pass by on the ground.
Getting a devious idea, Maggie chuckles in a sinister manner and slides down her silk thread and follows the two lovebugs. They first go to a giant ice cream parlor, where an unknown character gives Nutty ice cream.
As Beetles and Flappers dine on an ice cream cup left behind by someone, Maggie hides in Nutty's ice cream cup with a spool of silk attached to the spoon. Suddenly, Nutty comes back and, not seeing Maggie, picks up the spoon and eats ice cream off the spoon, preparing to leap. Maggie quickly bites Nutty's tongue, accidentally biting it off. Nutty spits out Maggie and dies of blood loss.
Beetles and Flappers move on, not noticing Nutty die. Maggie follows close behind. The two insects walk atop a leaf sitting on a lake. After they walk onto the leaf, the leaf floats away. Maggie, standing on the back of a duck as it paddles through the water, rubs her four hands in a mischievous manner.
Firing out a strand of silk at the leaf Beetles and Flappers are standing on, Maggie slowly pulls the leaf towards the duck. Soon, Beetles notices the leaf heading towards a duck and acts quickly. He grabs a berry from a branch hanging low above the lake and throws it to the duck. The duck quickly flies into the air to catch it, sending Maggie and the leaf into the air.
Maggie, completely terrified, holds onto the duck for dear life as it soars over the lake. Beetles and Flappers happily hang onto the leaf like a hang glider and cheer in joy. Maggie sees this as her chance to dine and crawls down the silk. Suddenly, the silk attached to the leaf is cut all of a sudden and Maggie, attached to the silk on the leaf, falls off the duck.
The jumping spider lands safely on a branch and sighs, until the leaf Beetles and Flappers is on crushes her. The episode ends with Beetles and Flappers landing on the leaf and both giving each other one long kiss.
